PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring device which surely prevents the dislocation of a detection sensor or imaging means by maintaining an engaging force to a concave part in a irregular shape even if elasticity fatigue occurs to an engagement part. SOLUTION: The monitoring device is provided with a monitoring device main body, a transmission part which transmits heat ray, a movable member to which a detection sensor for detecting the heat ray is fixed, an engagement object in which a plurality of irregular shapes are formed, and an engagement part which follows flexibly along the irregular shapes of the engagement object with the movement of the movable member and can selectively be engaged at one of concave parts. The monitoring device can also adjust the position of the detection sensor by optionally adjusting the engagement position of the engagement part to the engagement object part by moving the movable member. The monitoring device main body is constitutionally divided into a base and a housing, and a pressing member is formed in the main body which presses the engagement part toward the engagement object side in a state in which the base is provided with the housing part.
