PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display substrate for improving reliability and a display device having the same. SOLUTION: The display substrate includes gate wiring, a driving circuit part, a signal wiring part, a connection wiring part and a contact part. The gate wiring part is formed on a display area and intersect source wiring. The driving circuit part is formed on a peripheral area surrounding the display area and outputs a gate signal to the gate wirings. The signal part is formed adjacently to the driving circuit part and extended in the extending direction of the source wirings, and transmit a driving signal. The connection wiring part includes one end portion overlapping the signal wiring part and the other end portion electrically connected to the driving circuit part. The contact part is formed on the signal wiring part and electrically connects the one end portion with the signal wiring part. By this configuration, a gap between the signal lines in a gate driving part can be reduced, so that a sufficient margin of a sealing member can be obtained. Therefore, reliability of driving of the gate driving part can be enhanced by covering the gate driving part with the sealing member. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
