TERMINAL PROCESSING STRUCTURE OF PSEUDOCORD FOR OPTICAL FIBER, HOLDER FOR THE PSEUDOCORD, AND SIMPLE TERMINAL PROCESSING STRUCTURE FOR OPTICAL FIBER CONNECTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure and a method for reducing connection points and/or the number of connections between optical fibers, by using a pseudocord for protecting coated optical fibers and by providing a holder for holding the pseudocord in an optical termination box.

SOLUTION: The terminal processing structure of a pseudocord 20 is such that a tube 51 for inserting a coated optical fiber 50 is covered on the outside with a jacket reinforced inside with a reinforcing fiber layer. The structure is characterized in that a rigid tubular body 54 is mounted on the end of the pseudocord 20, with the reinforcing fiber layer exposed on the end of the pseudocord 20 projecting from the tubular body 54, and that the reinforcing fiber layer is further folded back along the outer face of the tubular body 54, with the outer side integrally fixed using a heat shrinkable tube 55.
