PURPOSE:To provide an extremely advantageous process for producing a carbonic acid ester in high catalytic activity and selectivity without causing the inactivation of the catalyst and the precipitation of corrosive material. CONSTITUTION:A carbonic acid ester is produced from carbon monoxide, oxygen and an alcohol by using a catalyst consisting of a copper-supporting laminar compound and a cuprous salt. |
