<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packing box designed so that a lid is prevented from being opened, however an instruction manual, thin components, etc., are prevented from falling from gaps between the open edges of a box body and the peripheral edges of the lid. <P>SOLUTION: The packing box includes the box body 1 in which an article to be packed is accommodated, and the lid 2 for closing the opening of the box body 1 so that the opening is freely opened. The packing box has opening-hindering tongues 20 bent and extending from parts of the peripheral edges of the lid 2. These tongues 20 are locked to the box body 1 so as to be freely detached and continuously prevent the opening from being opened. Of the peripheral edges of the lid 2, insertion tongues 21 and 22 are formed so as to be bent and extend from the areas where the opening-hindering tongues 20 are not located.
