PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weed-proof paving method which can alleviate an impact caused by a passage to exhibit a weed-proof effect for a long time, and enables low-cost construction. SOLUTION: A weed-proof structure has a weed-proof sheet having water impervious properties on the leveled ground, a layer of bark and wood chips on the weed-proof sheet, and a stone layer using crushed stone and grain stone singly or in a mixed state laid on the layer of bark and wood chips. In the paving method, after removing harmful insects and existing seeds by blowing burner flame to the surface of the leveled ground, the weed-proof sheet having water impervious properties is laid, the layer of bark and wood chips is laid thereon, and the crushed stone and grain stone are laid thereon singly or in a mixed state.
