PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the rise of the DC voltage of an inverter circuit in a motor driving device which drives a motor by means of the inverter circuit by lead phase controlling the output voltage of the inverter circuit at the time of braking the motor. SOLUTION: The motor driving device drives the motor 5 by converting the DC power from a rectifier circuit 3 connected to an Ac power source 1 into AC power by means of the inverter circuit 4, and sine-wave drives the motor 5 by controlling the inverter circuit 4 by means of a rotor position detecting means 5a which detects the position of the rotor of the motor 5 and a control means 12. At the time of braking the motor 5, the motor 5 is made to generate a brake torque by making the phase lead for the voltage impressed upon the motor 5 about 180 deg. from the phase of the induced voltage of the motor 5, after the torque of the motor 5 is lowered by making the phase of the output voltage of the inverter circuit 4 about 90 deg. lead from the phase of the induced voltage of the motor 5 by means of the control means 12. |
