PURPOSE:To prevent the interruption of document input and to prevent the drop of the efficiency of document input by displaying an error message and operation guidance only when a user can not understand the cause of malfunction or misinput. CONSTITUTION:When a key input is not correct, a 'HELP KEY' message is displayed on a display device 1 to show the effectiveness of a help key and the queuing state of the succeeding key input is started. When a key depressed next is a help key 10, an error message and operation guidance are displayed on the device 1 and the 'HELP KEY' message on the device 1 is deleted. When misinput is continued, the user depresses the help key 10 at the time of detecting the 'HELP KEY' message displayed on the device 1 even if a buzzer is not buzzed, so that the error message and the operation guidance on the device 1 can be read out. When the user detects misinput or malfunction by himself, correct input can be executed in the succeeding operation, so that editing processing can be continued without reducing input efficiency. |
