An automatic tracking device using a contactless multi-infrared temperature sensor and a method thereof are provided to perceive locations of plural mobile monitoring targets, and to track movement of the monitoring targets, thereby expanding images on the targets to store the expanded images. A first multi-infrared temperature sensor horizontally monitors a monitoring space, and outputs a detection signal if a monitoring target is detected. A second multi-infrared temperature sensor(S2) vertically monitors the monitoring space, and outputs a detection signal if a monitoring target is detected. An operating unit calculates 3D coordinates of the monitoring targets according to the detection signals, and outputs a control signal for instructing an image of the calculated coordinates to be taken. A CCTV unit takes the image of the corresponding coordinates, and converts the image into image data.
