PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switch device that facilitates manufacturing and assembling, and ensures reliable operation regarding the switch device, which is mainly used in operation of various electronic equipment such as air-conditioning or audio equipment or the like of a car. SOLUTION: Outside of a retaining part 15A of an operation body 15 is wound round with a coil spring 16 in order to have the retaining part 15A crimped with a mounting shaft 12A, and a recess 15C is arranged in the inner circumference of the retaining part 15A and a protrusion 12D arranged on the outer circumference of the mounting shaft 12A, respectively, then they are engaged with each other so that the operating body 15 is attached to the mounting shaft 12A. By this arrangement, crimping state of the retaining part 15A with the mounting shaft 12A becomes nearly constant and positive, and rattling and pulling out upward can be prevented, thereby the switch device 30 can be obtained in which the operation body 15 can be attached easily to the operating body 12 of the operation body 15, and the switch device 30 in which the sure operation is enabled can be obtained.
