PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display testing apparatus capable of preventing any human error, electric power supply trouble, forgetting to use a fuse and the like from occurring. SOLUTION: The display testing apparatus is used for carrying out a display test of a remote controller 50. The remote controller 50 incorporates; operation start condition circuits 51<SB>P</SB>, 52<SB>P</SB>, 51<SB>N</SB>and 52<SB>N</SB>for inhibiting any display test in a normal operation state; and display test switch circuits 55<SB>a</SB>, 55<SB>b</SB>, 56<SB>1</SB>and 56<SB>2</SB>for switching between a display test about an external equipment connection terminal which is applied with a P-power supply of a display terminal block 59, and a display test about an external equipment connection terminal which is applied with no P-power supply. A display test bar 61 is configured so that a contact bar 61<SB>A</SB>attached to its head is not applied with the P-power supply from the remote controller 50 in the normal operation state, and so as to be a one-shot contact point structure in order to generate a switch signal for bringing the display test switch circuits to switch between above two display tests.
