SEED-SPECIFIC PROMOTER DERIVED FROM ORYZA SATIVA AND USE THEREOF

The present invention relates to a seed-specific promoter derived from Oryza sativa and uses thereof and, more specifically, to an Oryza sativa pre harvest sprouting 1 (OsPHS1) promoter which induces the specific expression of a target gene in embryos and scutellum tissues of mature seeds, to a recombinant expression vector including the promoter, to a method for manufacturing a transformed plant using the recombinant expression vector, and to a plant transformed by the method. According to the present invention, the OsPHS1 promoter for seed-specific expression in Oryza sativa is used: for controlling a target gene to be mainly expressed in embryos and scutellum tissues of mature seeds, thereby being usefully used for the trait improvement of crops such as the production of a seed-specific substance, dormancy, germination, growth control, etc.; and for gene function analysis of the target gene in mature seeds.
