The present invention relates to an apparatus for searching for an address based on hashing. The apparatus includes a control unit that receives an address input signal according to a request for search for an address, an address pair synthesizing unit that generates a pair of addresses for an instruction address and a destination address, a hash generating unit that generates a hash key for search from the instruction address and the destination address, an address information storage unit that receives the pair of addresses and the hash key to synthesize one address information element, an address collecting unit that receives the address information element to record an address pair hash table, and an address search unit that receives the address information element, determines whether the input address element is stored in the address pair hash table, and outputs the determination result. According to the present invention, a conventional problem of an increase in overload due to an increase in the number of comparisons as the size of the address table increases can be solved. |
