The present invention relates to an apparatus for cleansing a camera protecting window of a housing for a security camera, wherein the transparent camera protecting window formed in the housing for the security camera is capable of being cleansed by a wiper so that a camera module is capable of acquiring a clearer surveillance image through the camera protecting window. According to a preferred embodiment, the apparatus for cleansing the camera protecting window is capable of cleansing the camera protecting window by: having an electric motor placed in a main body, in which the camera module is installed, toward the rear side; converting rotational force of the electric motor to reciprocal movements of a connecting shaft by means of rotary actions of an eccentric shaft formed in a driven gear to which the rotational force of the electric motor is transferred by a driving motor; and making the wiper perform side-to-side wiping actions by converting the reciprocal movements of the connecting shaft to the side-to-side wiping actions of a wiping driving part. |
