Provided are a liquid crystal display device which can improve visibility properties of a bezel unit of an outer panel without a black matrix or a black column spacer, and a manufacturing method thereof. The liquid crystal display device comprises: a lower and an upper substrates bonded to face each other, and defining an image display unit and a bezel unit; a thin film transistor and a color filter provided in the lower substrate; a pixel electrode provided in an upper part of the color filter, and being in contact with the thin film transistor; a plurality of circuit patterns provided in the bezel unit of the lower substrate; and a dummy pattern provided between the circuit patterns of the bezel unit. |
