FASTENING TOOL WITH CRIMPED CAP

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the design of a fastening tool with a cap in a light-weight manner and at low cost.SOLUTION: A fastening tool 30 with a cap has a two outside flanges, and a groove 42 provided therebetween. A cap 16 is crimped around a first outside flange 38 without covering the second outside flange 40. The end part of the cap is crimped in the groove between the first outside flange and the second outside flange. A crimp tool and a crimp method are provided for crimping the end part of the cap in the groove between the two outside flanges.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
