PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of limiting the output of an image when specific information is detected, and an image output method.SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 10 includes a reception part 101 for receiving authentication information on the basis of a user operation, an acquisition part 102 for acquiring image data, an output part 103 for outputting the image data acquired by the acquisition part 102, a detection part 104 for performing an image analysis of the image data acquired by the acquisition part 102, and detecting specific information, an authentication part 105 for causing the reception part 101 to receive authentication information when the detection part 104 detects the specific information, and performing user authentication on the basis of the received authentication information, and a limitation part 106 for limiting the output of the image data by the output part 103 when the user is not authenticated as a result of the user authentication. According to the embodiment, since the output of an image can be limited when the specific information is detected, the security of information is enhanced, and further, the convenience of a user operation is improved when the specific information is detected.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
