PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a superconducting magnet that secures a contact area between a winding part and a member in contact with the winding part from a normal temperature to a low temperature, and improves efficiency of conduction cooling, and a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus equipped with the superconducting magnet, which does not need liquid helium.SOLUTION: A superconducting magnet includes: a winding core 27; a winding part 28 formed by wires being wound around the winding core 27; a coil part including a first flange 22 disposed at one side of the winding core 27 and a second flange 29 disposed at the other side of the winding core 27; a cooling device for cooling the coil part; and a heat conduction member for thermally connecting the coil part and the cooling device. At least one of the first flange 22, the second flange 29 and the winding core 27 includes an area formed of a material whose thermal shrinkage is greater than that of the winding part 28.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
