PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet transport device having a cover part which is high in stiffness more than before, and excellent in quality and operability, and an image reading device.SOLUTION: A sheet transport device 6 comprises a cover part 50 which is arranged in a position covering a transport part for transporting sheets, and constitutes a part of an exterior face of the device. The cover part 50 has a first base part 51 which constitutes a part of the exterior face, and a second base part 52 which opposes the first base part 51 with an interval between the first base part 51 and itself, a continuous part 53 continuous to both the first base part 51 and the second base part 52 is arranged between the first base part 51 and the second base part 52, and the first base part 51, the second base part 52 and the continuous part 53 are integrally molded with a resin material, and a rib 57 which protrudes from a point is formed at the point being a side opposite to a side which opposes the first base part 51 in the second base part 52.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7 |
