PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent microneedle delivery systems from causing significant pain when higher infusion rates are attempted.SOLUTION: A microneedle array 11 comprises: a substrate 12; and 10 to 30 hollow microneedles 14 arranged to protrude from the substrate 12 and having a length of more than 100 μm to less than 1 mm. Neighboring microneedles 14 have a spacing of 1.5 mm or more on average. The microneedle array 11 can infuse more than 200 μL of fluid through the microneedles 14 at a rate of more than 20 μL/min. At least some of the microneedles 14 have a sloping side-wall, and the sloping side-wall includes an exit hole of a channel.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1A
