PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an implantable zero-wire communications system.SOLUTION: The present invention presents implantable systems that communicate wirelessly with each other using a unique format that enables devices configurations and applications heretofore not possible. Sensors (205, 206, 208, 204) are located on a body (200) and communicate with each other and with a data collector (106) by exchanging information, using quasi-electrostatic signal transmission in a long wavelength/low frequency electromagnetic band, with the patient's body acting as a conductive medium.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
