PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake pad device connected to a brake assembly of an automobile.SOLUTION: A brake pad device has a back plate extending along a first surface, and having an inner surface and an outer surface. In order to reduce a vehicular speed, a liner is connected to the inner surface of the back plate so as to contact with a rotor and generate frictional force to the rotor. A cutoff layer is connected to the outer surface of the back plate so as to provide heat insulation and noise insulation in a case where the liner contacts with the rotor. At least one projection part extends from the outer surface of the back plate through the cutoff layer so as to penetrate the cutoff layer, and is engaged to a pressing member of a brake assembly so as to press the liner against the rotor of the brake assembly.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
