PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing purified light olefin by efficiently removing carbon dioxide gas and an oxygen-containing compound from a fraction containing light olefin.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for producing light olefin by reacting ethanol using a catalyst, which performs purification treatment comprising a step of removing carbon dioxide gas from a product gas fraction after the reaction and a step of separating and recovering an oxygen-containing compound.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
