PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonwoven fabric with a soft touch front surface, which can exert a wiping performance on its rear surface.SOLUTION: A nonwoven fabric 1 comprises: a first direction X and a second direction Y perpendicular to the first direction; a front surface layer 2, which is mainly composed of hygroscopic filaments 4 with average fiber diameter of 10 μm or less; and a rear surface layer 3, which is mainly composed of staples 5 with average fiber diameter exceeding 10 μm. The filaments 4 form into irregular arches and evenly spread in mesh-like state on the front surface layer 2.
