PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a detector from being switched to a power-off state while being used, thereby avoiding cases where the detector cannot function as per specifications.SOLUTION: A detector main body 1 includes: a power source unit 2; a detector unit that is powered by the power source unit 2 to detect a detection target; and a switch operating body 18 configured to allow the power from the power source unit 2 to be supplied to the detection unit when an ON manipulation is made, and to cut off the power thereto when an OFF manipulation is made. The detector is configured such that the ON manipulation comprises a manipulation made on the switch operating body 18, and the OFF manipulation, which is different from the ON manipulation, comprises a preceding manipulation made on a member other than the switch operating body 18 followed by a manipulation made on the switch operating body 18.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
