The present invention relates to a method of paying a content download cost. The method of paying a content download cost performed in a computing device downloading content comprises the steps of: (a) reporting on a content download process to a content settlement server before downloading content from a content server; and (b) generating a content verification code based on the content in the content download process and providing the generated content verification code to the content settlement server. According to the present invention, it is possible to pay the download cost as the content is downloaded.
