The present invention relates to an apparatus for activating a beacon receiver of a mobile terminal, which includes a beacon signal receiver for receiving a beacon signal from a wired/wireless AP. To achieve this, the apparatus includes: a detection sensor unit for detecting a movement of the mobile terminal with respect to a direction of at least one axis and outputting a movement detection signal; a movement pattern generation unit for generating and outputting a movement pattern on the basis of the movement detection signal output by the detection sensor unit; a voice recognition unit for recognizing a voice signal from a voice input unit of the mobile terminal and generating a voice pattern, when a predetermined operation pattern and a pattern output from the movement pattern generation unit coincide with each other within a predetermined error range; and a beacon activation unit for generating an operation signal for operating the beacon receiver and activating the beacon receiver, through a comparison between the generated voice pattern and a predetermined reference voice pattern. According to an embodiment of the present invention, power consumption of the mobile terminal can be minimized by operating the beacon receiver even at a specific movement and voice signal. |
