PURPOSE:To provide a lead-acid battery jar formation device realizing the improvement of charging temperature control and facility installation efficiency by developing a concrete means for enabling a water cooling method to be used in a rack system where a group of heavy batteries is taken in and out. CONSTITUTION:A battery jar formation device is so developed as to be equipped with a water tank 1 for housing a plurality of racks 30 and a plurality of batteries 3, and a carrying device 9 for carrying the tank 1 for storage on the predetermined rack 30. Also, the device is equipped with a cooling water charge and discharge mechanism jointed to the water tank 1 on the rack 30, and used for cooling the batteries 3 under charging. In this case, the cooling water is basically charged and discharged on the racks 30. In the development of the device, constitution is so made that a block wiring terminal section 19 is provided for current supply to a plurality of unformed batteries 3 housed in the water tank 1, as a means for ensuring the higher safety and effectiveness of rack charging, and a block guide piping section 18 is formed for sucking hydrogen gas and atomized acid. The racks 30 are also provided with wiring and piping to be jointed to the block terminal section 19 and guide piping section 18. |
