A camera lens system is disclosed. The camera lens system includes five lens groups lined up from the object side. The lens groups includes a first lens group having a first lens having a positive refractive power; a second lens group having a second lens having a negative refractive power; a third lens group having a third lens having a positive refractive power and the a fourth lens having a negative refractive power; a fourth lens group having a fifth lens having a convex image side surface and a positive refractive power; a fifth lens group having a sixth lens having a concave image side surface and a negative refractive power. An image side surface of the third lens is connected to the an object side surface of the fourth lens.
