PURPOSE:To obtain an alloy foil capable of withstanding a high-temp. engine exhaust by adding a misch metal contg. inexpensive Y and rare-earth elements to an Fe-Cr-Al alloy to secure oxidation resistance and further adding at least one kind between Nb and Ta. CONSTITUTION:This foil is formed from an alloy contg., by weight, 0.01-0.5% Ym (Ym consists of about 60% Y, about 35% of heavy rare-earth elements such as Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb and Lu and about 5% of light rare-earth elements such as La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Pm, Sm and Eu), 4.5-6.5% Al, 13-25% Cr, <=0.025% C, <=0.02% N, where (C+N)<=0.03%, and at least one between (93.C%/12+93.N%/14)X1.2 to 3% Nb and (181.C%/12+181.N%/14)X1.5 to 3% Ta, where (Nb+Ta)<=3%, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities, and a flat sheet 2 and a corrugated sheet 3 are formed with the foil. |
