PURPOSE:To provide a document preparatin supporting device capable of displaying reading or semantics in respect of KANJI(Chinese character) or an idiom whose reading is unknown. CONSTITUTION:The document preparation supporting device is constituted of an input character selecting means 1 to designate KANJI in an inputted character string, a conversion dictionary 3 for converting KANJI into KANA (Japanese syllabary) to show the reading of this KANJI (and the character to show the semantics of this KANJI), a character retrieving means 2 to retrieve the conversion dictionary, and a display means 4 to display the retrieved result of the character retrieving means 2. By designating the idiom whose reading or semantics is unknown by the input character selecting means 1, the reading or the semantics of it can be displayed on a display screen. |
