PURPOSE:To enable high-speed printing by saving useless time by skipping a dummy processing sequence for an unused color in the case of printing plural colors for each processing while storing the color setting commands of continuous sequences. CONSTITUTION:In a printing part, an operating part 40 is composed of a display part 41 to display various modes for color printing and a key input part such as a select key 44 to select any specified mode from the displayed contents, and a control part 50 is composed of an encoder 52 to encode key inputs from the operating part 40, CPU 51 to perform the various kinds of control while receiving the sequence of the encoder 52, and color selecting part 53 to designate the color to be used in a color skip mode. Then, the color selecting part 53 receives a skip signal (the color setting command) from the operating part 40 and designates the exposure color of a scanner 14 for forming electrostatic latent images in Yellow Y, Mazenta M and Cyan C and black K and in the case of the sequence excepting for full color, the sequence of non-designated colors is skipped. |
