1,203,056. Optical scanning system. RANK XEROX Ltd. July. 25, [Aug. 1, 1966], No. 34023/67 Headings G2H and G2J. An optical scanning system comprises a plurality of imaging devices 1 arranged between an object plane and an image-plane and drive means for effecting movement of the imaging devices relative to the object and image-planes, each imaging device 1 consisting of two mirrors 2, 3 joined together at right angles and a lens element 4 which lies in a plane perpendicular to the two mirrors. The scanning system is used to produce a wrongreading copy of a document as in an electrostatic copier. In Fig.1, the lens element comprises a quarter bi-convex lens sector which is joined to the mirrors 2, 3. The axis of the lens 4 and the planes of the mirror 2, 3 are perpendicular to the object and image-planes. |
