Food additives for poultry and non-ruminants contain methionine (I) and/or lysine carbamide (II) and/or their derivs. e.g. metal or organic base salts. Sufficient additive should be used to provide 0.03-0.10% of active ingredient in the diet. (I) and (II) are as effective as the N-acetyl derivs. of these essential amino acids and are easier to prepare. |
