<p>Friction brake materials consisting of particles with a coating of a material which can be released by thermal, chemical, or mechanical means. The material consists of a metal, alloy or org.-bound mineral casing contng. a mixt. of metal, alloy, and thermoplastic particles of between 10-3 and 10-6, pref. between 2.10-5 and 15.10-5m. in size and having m.p. below 650 degrees C. A typical particle mixt. contains asbestos 5, phenol resin 2, Pb coated with Mgo 3.5 and PTFE coated with Cu 4 pts.</p> |
