Calcium fluorapatite phosphors

摘要

The calcium fluorapatite phosphor is prepd. by co-precipitation from aqs. soln. at pH 6-8. Spec. a first soln. contg. activators (spec. Mn or Sb) and the Ca ions is introduced into the reactor simultaneously with a second soln. contg. PO4 and F ions. Opt. the first soln may contg. significant amounts of Cl ions. The product is given a suitable thermal treatment to ensure an essentially homogeneous microstructure. The phosphor is used in domestic and industrial fluorescent lamps.
