PURPOSE:To provide a swash plate type variable displacement compressor easy to manufacture in a simple constitution and high in reliability at the time of high rotation. CONSTITUTION:In the middle of a path to guide an intake refrigerant to a piston cylinder Sp, rotary valves 16, 17 capable of integrally rotating with a rotation axis 1 and sliding in the axial direction are provided. As these rotary valves rotate, a plural number of the piston cylinders Sp in cylinder blocks 3, 4 and an intake pressure chamber Vs are sequentially communicated through to each other in the rotational direction, and in accordance with a movement amount of the rotary valves 16, 17 in the axial direction, the rotational cycle and phase of timing at which the piston cylinder Sp and the intake pressure chamber Vs are communicated through to each other are changed. By controlling positions of the rotary valves 16, 17 in the axial direction, cylinder capacity in an intake process in which the piston cylinder Sp and the intake pressure chamber Vs are communicated through to each other varies, and as a refrigerant amount confined in the piston cylinder Sp changes, it is possible to realize capacity variation. Consequently, it comes to be possible to vary continuous variable capacity in simple constitution without changing inclination of a swash plate 2. |
