摘要 Titrations are carried out by automatic programmed system using a measurement chamber with photo-electric control. It has a metering system for indicator, buffer soln. and the titration liquid. A measured sample of liq. under test is injected from a calibrated measurement chamber. It has a control system whereby the metering of reagents is controlled by the reaction of the test sample. Provision is made for emptying and flushing out the measurement chamber at the end of each cycle. The measuring chamber at the end of each cycle. The measuring vessel has an overflow, a filling valve and an outlet valve. While the sample is run off, the filling valve remains closed. When the chamber is being flushed, both valves are open. Used for monitoring total water hardness, carbonate hardness in breweries, lemonade factories, heating and cooling water plants, etc. for monitory alkali strength for bottle washing, laundries, textile and paper mills, for acid monitoring in effluents, etc. Allows a much more rapid cycle than conventional titrimeters while retaining true discontinuous measurement and adequate flushing.
