The cable inlet includes a cover and a base portion with a slotted hole for cable entry. The flat cable is sealed in position by a profile washer which is made from an elastic material. This profile washer has an internal cross-section matching that of the flat cable and an external cross-section fitting into the elongated hole. The profile washer (18) has two parallel slits (19) which can take two flat cables (17). The cables are slid in from the side. The slits are linked to the edges by narrow breakable webs (19a).
