An electric component assembly comprises a substrate having printed circuits on opposite faces of the substrate interconnected by coated through holes, a slide mounted on the substrate with circuits or components thereon connected to circuit portions on the substrate, and a cover over the slide secured to the substrate at regions clear of circuits. A ceramic substrate 10 has electrical conductors 11, 12 applied by a silk screen or printing process on opposite faces of the substrate 10, and the conductors are interconnected by drawing the printing ink through apertures 13 in the substrate 10 and plugging the apertures with wires. Glass slide 14 provided with electrical printed circuits and/or components is brazed or soldered to metallized portions 15 on the substrate 10 and the circuits on the slide 14 are connected by wires 16 to the conductors 11. A metal cover 17 is secured to a metallized portion 18 by brazing or soldering, the regions at which the cover 17 is secured to the substrate 10 being free of printed circuits 11, 12.
