1300260 Aerosol antiperspirants UNILEVER Ltd 19 April 1971 [23 March 1970] 13827/70 Heading C4X [Also in Division A5] Non-staining aerosol antiperspirant compositions of the powder suspension type contain a colourless water-misible polyalkylene glycol, e.g. polypropylene glycol; or a derivative thereof in which a proportion of the hydroxy groups of the glycol are butylated; or a black condensate of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide; and/or a nonionic surfactant such as a polyoxyethylene stearate, a nonylphenol polyoxyethylene condensate or an ethoxylated lanolin. The composition may contain 0À1 to 10% of an antiperspirant agent which is insoluble in the aerosol propellant, e.g. aluminium chlorhydrate; 0À02 to 0À5% of a bactericide or germicide, e.g. hexachlorophene; a fatty acid ester suspending agent e.g. isopropyl myristate; 0À1 to 1À08% of an auxiliary suspending agent such as fumed or pyrogenic silica; up to 2% of a perfume; and at least 30% by weight of the composition of an aerosol propellant such as nitrogen, carbon dioxide, n-propane, iso-propane, butane, isobutane, fluorotrichloromethane, difluorodichloromethane, fluorodichloroethane, pentafluorochloroethane, methylene chloride and/or vinyl chloride. |
