METHOD OF MANUFACTURING WALL TILE

A wall tile for quick firing is composed of 40˜70 wt.% coarse slag and 30˜60 wt.% bentonite. It is produced by (1) mixing the raw materials, (2) milling the mixture into -200 meshes, (3) firing in the temperature range of 1,100˜ 1,150≦̸C at a rate of 10˜30≦̸C/min. By controlling the composition ratio of bentonite and coarse slag of blast slag, particle distribution and heating condition, and by sintering body and glaze simultaneously only once, good bend strength, good water absorption and very short sintering time is obtained.
