1354403 Filling containers KONINKLIJKE EMBALLAGE INDUSTRIE VAN LEER NV 5 July 1971 [3 July 1970] 31406/71 Heading B8T A container 6, e.g. an aerosol can, is filled with a gas, e.g. liquefied gas, supplied through a pipe 12 after the container is raised to engage a coupling portion 9A of a rotatable sealing disc 9. Above the container 6, which rests on a vertically reciprocable table 2 and rotatable table 5, is a fixed bell 7 containing a sealing means 11 and the filling pipe 12. The container 6 and sealing disc 9, after being rotated about axes 4 and 8 respectively to a position under the filling pipe 12 and after the container 6 is filled, are again rotated about these axes until the container 6 is beneath the sealing means 11. The container is then sealed. During filling, the filling pipe is moved down close to the bottom of container 6 by means of cylinder 15, thus any inflowing gas will expel the air in the container. The level of table 2 is altered by cylinder 3 and the sealing means 11 by cylinders 13 and 14.
|
