A reciprocating bridge with scraper and skimmer blades operates in a tank requiring skimming to the uneven sidewalls of the tank. Each end of the scraper is provided with a pivoted blade which is retracted when the blade is elevated. The blade is extended by a spring when the blade is lowered and the spring holds the blade against the sidewall of the tank at all times but with no unrequired force.
