PURPOSE:To prevent a data loss from being generated even against disasters such as an earthquake, a fire, etc. CONSTITUTION:Data disk drives D0-D3 are connected to each other by a fact that computers 1-1-1-4 having them, respectively are connected to a network, respectively. A parity disk drive P0 for storing parity information obtained by adding data of the data disk drives D0-D3 by module 2 is also connected to the network by a computer 1-5. Data of one of the data disk drives D0-D3 is also obtained from the parity information P0 and data of other data disk drive. By using the network, the data disk drives D0-D3 and the parity disk drive P0 are arranged in a place separated enough from each other to an extent that they are not subjected to the same disaster, therefore, even when one of the data disk drives D0-D3 causes a fault, its data recovery can be executed. |
