<p>PURPOSE:To start substantial reproduction as soon as possible by reproducing a moving part compressed by predictive coding in picture unit recorded to the closest position of the reproduced position with respect to the reproducing position designated by a talker and using it as the reproduced initial picture. CONSTITUTION:An interactive device 22 gives a command to a readout track control circuit 23 in a way that an in-frame predictive error data recorded to the closest position is reproduced along the forward reproducing direction when the coded predicting error data is recorded by the inter-frame prediction. Then a pickup head 24 is moved to the moving picture part subject to in-frame predictive coding and the readout track control circuit 23 outputs no gate signal during the movement and the decoding by a decoder 12 is applied. Thus, the deterioration in the picture quality due to the decoding of the meaningless inter-frame prediction error data is excluded and the substantial reproduction using the decoding output of the in-frame predictive error data as the initial picture data is applied as soon as possible.</p> |
