PURPOSE:To inexpensively constitute a lithium battery small in size with large charge/discharge energy by using double oxide, obtained by heat baking after wet mixing nickel salt, lithium salt and cobalt salt, as a positive electrode active material. CONSTITUTION:Double oxide LiCoxNi1-xO2 (0<=x<=0.5), obtained by burning after wet mixing nickel salt and lithium salt further arbitrarily cobalt salt dissolved in a solvent, is contained in a positive electrode pellet 6 as a positive electrode active material. Lithium or its compound is used as an active material of a negative electrode 4. A substance, chemically stable against the positive and negative electrode active materials further with a lithium ion possible to move for performing electrochemical reaction with the positive or negative electrode active material, is used for an electrolytic material. By this constitution, a lithium battery small in size with large charge/discharge energy can be obtained at a low price. Further, the nickel salt, lithium salt and the cobalt salt are preferable to provide a common anion as the paired ions. |
