PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic material excellent in stamping performance by employing a magnetic material composed of specified quantity of Ni, specified quantity of element for improving magnetic or mechanical characteristics, and the remainder of substantial Fe, and specifying the average coarseness on the surface of the magnetic material along the center line. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic material composed of 30-85% Ni, 15% or less of element for improving magnetic or mechanical characteristics, and the remainder of substantial Fe is rolled and finished at predetermined coarseness by means of a surface polishing grinding wheel. Finished surface has coarseness Ra of 0.1mum or above. This composition realizes a magnetic material excellent in stamping performance in which shearing face ratio is 55% or below at the time of stamping. |
