<p>A loop pile is produced on a base weave of grp. of warp yarns and double weft yarns by two gps. of pile yarns, the yarns of one gp. being inserted as a weft-wise extending series of loops in which each loop traverses over one or more group of warps and passes under a double weft. The pile yarns of the ether grp. are inserted in different ways i.e. in a series of loops of different orientation, or loops which are combined with some or all of the loops of the first grp., in different regions of the fabric. A variety of complicated relief patterned piles can be produced.</p> |
