<p>The end of the boring bar (1) has serrations of triangular section (2) which are parallel to one another and to a diameter of the end face. Two cutter mounting blocks (6) are also provided on one face with triangular serrations which match those at the end of the boring bar. The cutter mounting blocks are in the shape of plates with enlarged sections (7) on which cutter bits (4) are mounted. The mounting blocks are clamped to the end of the shaft by a plate (10) and two screws (9). Adjusting screws (11) are also mounted in the clamping plate. the centrelines of these screws are parallel to the end face of the boring bar. The screws bear against the enlarged sections of the mounting blocks and are used to adjust the radial positions of the cutting edges.</p> |
